~💚🙏❤️ ~The Day After Christmas…💚

💚 ~The day after Christmas always feels a little quieter to me. The excitement fades, the house settles, and I’m left sitting with everything the season stirred up in my heart. Some of it is joy. Some of it is heaviness. And honestly, I usually carry both.

❤️ ~Christmas reminds me that Jesus came right into the middle of real life—not the polished parts, but the tired, messy, broken places. And the day after Christmas feels like proof of that. Life doesn’t pause just because we celebrated His birth. The needs are still there. The grief doesn’t disappear. The prayers don’t suddenly have answers.

❤️ ~But Jesus is still here.

💚 ~Scripture tells us, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us” (John 1:14). He didn’t come only for a single holy moment—He came to stay. Emmanuel, God with us, walks with us into the quiet, ordinary days after the celebration ends.

❤️ ~Today, I’m reminding myself of this promise: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning” (Lamentations 3:22–23). I don’t need strength for tomorrow yet. I just need grace for today—and God promises that He provides it.

💚 ~If today feels heavy for you, you are not alone. And if today feels peaceful, that is a gift to receive. Either way, God is near. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted” (Psalm 34:18), and He gently carries what we cannot.

❤️ ~A Prayer

Lord,

Thank You for coming near. Thank You that Christmas is not just a day, but a reminder that You are with us always. On this day after Christmas, we bring You our full hearts—the joy, the exhaustion, the grief, and the hope. Help us to rest in Your presence and trust You with what lies ahead. Give us grace for today, peace in the quiet moments, and hope that carries us forward. We place everything in Your loving hands.

Amen.
