🖤 ~Self-Care After the Holidays

🩵 ~After the holidays, I often feel a mix of gratitude and exhaustion. The joy is real, but so is the tiredness—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. When the celebrations end and life grows quiet again, I’m reminded how much my heart needs care too.

🖤 ~For me, self-care after the holidays isn’t about indulgence; it’s about stewardship. It’s remembering that God created us with limits and invites us to rest. Scripture tells us, “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Rest isn’t something we earn—it’s something we’re offered.

🩵 ~Sometimes caring for myself looks like slowing my pace. Other times it looks like prayer, silence, or simply saying no without guilt. I’m learning that honoring my need for rest allows me to better hear God’s voice and feel His peace again.

🖤 ~God does not ask us to pour from an empty cup. “He restores my soul” (Psalm 23:3), and often that restoration happens in the quiet, ordinary moments when we stop striving and let Him meet us where we are.

🩵 ~If you’re feeling worn down after the holidays, know this: rest is holy. Taking care of yourself is not selfish—it’s an act of trust. Trust that God is at work even when you pause. Trust that He will carry what you set down.

🖤 ~May this season be one of gentle renewal, where you allow God to refill what the holidays may have emptied. 🩵
